DIY kitty frame

I drew this little ginger kitten head the other day, it was also my first ever attempt of using colouring pencils in a realism piece before I think.... (I did once used watercoloured pencils in a drawing of Lady Gaga though!) But I liked the outcome of this drawing and got a few positive comments on it ^_^ umm but of course it looked a little weird only being a kitten head and no body parts!

Soooo......

I made a cute little frame for it and stuck it up on my wall; it looks smaller in photos but its bigger in reality, it's about 18cm x 18cm aprox.

It was so easy, quick and fun to make! Firstly, cutting out the cat head neatly then cutting out a circle on some coloured corrugated card for decorative crafts! The back plate is colour card that I cut a circle out of using a pair of patterned scissors (the scissors blades are patterned so they cut the shaped edges) and then I hand cut in some holes to make it look like lace coasters, however, the card I used was too thick and I couldn't cut much detailed patterns (I was pretty disappointed about that). The 3 layers are held together with little 3D double sided sticky foam piece so the piece creates shadow and looks 3D.

Then finished off with a little ribbon super glued on :P

I loved making this! And I think it's so cute stuck up in my wall. I think I want to make a few more now and maybe I could give some out as gifts some time ^___^

Summer Homework..

Only 2 and a half days left till I start university and still haven't completed my summer homework; currently stressing real bad! I always have a habit of leaving work till the last second and then stressing about it.

Right now I'm playing animal crossing rather than doing my summer homework haha :-(

Well here's what I drew last night, took about 2 hours. Only using mechanical pencil on A3 paper. My favourite album The Script #3
The summer homework is to create a presentation about myself in any format we wish, but there is a list of questions about yourself included which you must answer. This is for the question about my favourite album/song

Also did a drawing of HellBoy using Sharpie and felt tip pens. This was for my favourite movie! I wanted to draw out a Pan's Labrynth screen because I really love that film so much, but I couldn't find any good photos of any characters online so I found that too time consuming to look for a good photo to use as reference. I ended up drawing HellBoy haha :P

Time to do more of it now!
The questions I was given were:
-your name
-where you live
-the name of your last course and university
-3 physical measurements
-your favourite item of clothing/outfit
-an interesting fact/s about you
-the thing you can do that not everyone can do (your talent)
-your favourite musical track
-your favourite book or film
-some pieces of statistical information about you
-what you hope to achieve on the course
-anything else you would like to inform us about

HAHHAHA wow, I've currently only done 3 of the questions :------(

OKAY I'LL GET A MOVE ON WITH IT NOW. IT'S DUE TUESDAY, I HAVE 3 AND A HALF DAYS

Tattoo design

So I really love geometric shape/patterned tattoos and I really really want one tattoo on me! Had discussions with my mum about it and she said a tattoo would look good on my back, like the shoulder blade! But I originally wanted it on the back on my leg..... But now I'm starting to grow to wanting it on my back as well :D

So it took me awhile but I managed to design this geometric flower design and I would like it tattooed on my back but not too big; I'd say I want it to be about 6/7cm big on my back shoulder blade ^ u ^;

I found a tattoo parlour that I would probably go to in Romford and the minimum cost would be £25 which covers the needles used etc. hopefully it won't be too expensive overall :-)

Also I have to wait 2/3 weeks because I would have to remove my shirt to get this done and if my mum is with me (she obviously will be 100%) then some of my cuts/scars over my body may show. So I'm waiting a few weeks so my wounds can heal up and I'll get the tattoo when they're less noticeable -3-;
